Aberdeen Football Club Heritage Trust Has Launched

Aberdeen FC is over 100 years old, is regarded as a vital part of the NE Scotland community and held in affection by thousands of fans in both the immediate area and across the globe.

Dons' fans are rightly proud of the Club's heritage and although much of the Club's former archive was destroyed in the 1971 fire, a considerable volume of historical material still exists within the Club and community.Historical Trust Logo

The AFC Heritage Trust has been formed to ensure that the Club's heritage and archive materials are managed appropriately, are publicised and made available to interested parties. This will include raising funds to preserve and improve the collection of heritage materials, managing donations or loans of privately-held material, supporting heritage displays and events throughout the community and ultimately, creation of a heritage museum and learning centre within the mooted new stadium. Anyone who wishes to learn more or to help in any way can visit our website at: www.afcheritage.org or Email us at feedback@afcheritage.org.

The Trust is independent of Aberdeen Football Club and is managed by a team of Trustees each of whom has a strong affinity with the Club's heritage. A dedicated and hardworking band of volunteers is already researching heritage topics and adding considerably to the knowledge bank of the Club's history.

The Trust offers membership in the form of Friends of the Trust and associated benefits to Dons fans to ensure that its community ethos is promoted and to encourage maximum participation in the activities of the Trust.
