Chris is now in his second spell with the Dons. He began his career at Aberdeen, making his debut in the 99/00 season, and firmly establishing himself as a first-team regular, playing all but one game for the club in the 2006-07 season. A versatile player, Clark was used predominantly in midfield, but was also played at either full-back position. Clark earned plaudits for his "industrious" performances in Aberdeen's central midfield and in 2008 earned a move south of the border in a £200,000 deal to Plymouth Argyle. Clark was ever-present in the first eleven making 116 appearances in all competitions for the club. At the end of June 2011, Clark rejoined his former club Aberdeen on a free transfer. A move to Kilmarnock looked likely before he chose to return to Pittodrie. Since returning Clark has served as a strong and versatile back-up to the first eleven.
