The son of former Aberdeen defender Doug, Andrew is another product of the AFC Youth Academy. He made his professional debut in May 2004 in a 2-1 defeat to Dundee, making his second appearance at the end of the following season. Has played for the Scotland U-21 squad and was with the Scotland U-20 squad in Canada in the summer two seasons ago at the Youth World Cup. A powerful defender who reads the game well, he was playing some of the best football of his career in the last season until injury stopped his campaign at Christmas. Andrew has seen a return to form this season forming a good understanding with fellow centre back Youl Mawene, also adding goals to his game.
