AFC help fans get 'FFIT'
The initiative is a free physical activity and healthy eating programme designed to assist men aged between 35-65 to lose weight, get fitter, eat healthy and maintain these changes in the long term. The 12 weekly sessions include physical activity and a 'classroom' element.
All 22 men succeeded in losing weight with many reaching their target of shedding 10% off their starting weight. As well as losing weight, the participants lost a combined total of over 2 metres off their waist size. The course has also made the men much more confident and active in their day to day lives.
The initiative creates a support network of friends who share the interest of becoming fitter and all 22 Dons fans taking part expressed a desire to continue meeting after completion of the course.
We are confident all the men can maintain these positive changes they have made to their lifestyle and we wish them all the very best in the future.
