Local youngster Matthew Cooper this afternoon put pen to paper on a deal that will see him join the expanding ranks of the AFC Youth Academy.

Matthew, a pupil at Banff Academy, will join our Under 17s team after being spotted by AFC scout Grant Smith while playing for Deveronvale under 16 team last season.

The signing marks another important step for AFC Youth Academy as our growing network of scouts throughout the local area start to unearth potential Dons stars of the future.
